There's much to learn here. So, take your time, look around,
and learn all there is to know about helping.
We hope you enjoy our site and find it useful.
First off, let me take this time to say THANK YOU to every man and woman who has severed this country or is serving. It does not matter what you did/do, but the fact that you were willing to place your life on the line for civilians as well as fellow brother and sisters is a wonderful thing.
There are many ways that we as civilians can help those not only serving but who have served.
Keep in mind that when a soldier comes back from active duty there many be time that something can trigger flashback to something that happened when serving. That they may not be able to forget some of those things they have witness or experienced. They may have lasting physical ailments that they are having to now deal with (such as a lost limb).
Remember, no matter what it is they are going through, they are not alone. That many people who suffer from this can and have survived. And if they are having troubles, there is help out there. It may not be easy to find, which is really sad, but it can be found. This website will hopefully be able to provide a starting point to be able to get help.
Whether you are a loved one, or just a caring person, we can help show support by being understanding to their wishes. Showing them respect, patience, and encouragement. For they are not forgotten, they are true hero's and should be treated as such.
